"This isn't the most fun I've ever had."

Another dispatch from the desert came today via e-mail! (Unfortunately, the first line of the e-mail, shown above, sort of says it all!) Waiting for the move to their next location, M. writes: "The days are slow and boring. The internet is pain-stakingly slow, and the phone lines are horrible." On the upside, though, right before he left, we were able to buy a few seasons of some old TV shows on DVD, which he packed in the bags he took with him on the flight. He says, "I've been plowing through the Hogan Heroes and have accumulated a posse of people to watch it with me. LTC T. is a big fan of the show and plans to buy Season 1 and SSG L. sits with me to watch also. It has been a little warm here. Yesterday our power went out in the tent (including A/C) and I was in charge of calling in the work order. It took about 4 hrs but it is up and running nicely now." God bless the concept of the work order. At least they got it fixed before nightfall... Anyway, it's quickly approaching midnight where M. is right now, so, M., goodnight and sweet dreams: we love you!
