Coming soon: a mailing address!
M. was able to call tonight! He says things there are good there, but busy, as they settle in. Project #1 for many of the soldiers has been trying to figure out the best way to call out...sounds like there are all sorts of options for calling cards and phones, so M. is doing research and making do in the meantime. He's already been immersed in some of the culture there and has made tons of observations about what he is seeing...and hearing: we stopped talking for a minute so I could hear the some local music that was playing outside...definitely not the German techno that M. and I are now used to here but hey, what is? (Just kidding: we quickly reached our saturation point for techno music shortly after moving here...) At any rate, it sounds like M. might have his new address as soon as this week! He also emphasized again that he's feeling very safe where he is, which I never tire of hearing. Or of hearing his voice, which was great, too.

ok, M and M, from the GF (Godfather) and the GM (godmother) otherwise known as Boo and Cookie by the grandchildren. We think of you daily and we are so glad now to have the contact of the blog...thanks to both for the messages so that we can daily keep up with you.
