And meterologist M. says...

...it's hot. The daily highs in Iraq have been averaging between 105 and 115 degrees during the last couple of weeks, which has dampened spirits downrange a bit. The guys have managed to get out and play some unit softball, which has burned up some of their limited downtime, but I think it's safe to say that they're eagerly anticipating redeployment and a return to cooler climes! M.'s been trying to keep cool by staying indoors as much as possible, but has been braving the elements to make cell phone calls back home (thanks, M.!) during which we spend increasingly more time raving to each other about the progress on his deployment counter...we're closing in on having only 100 days left to go, a mark that up until recently seemed very, very far away! (That's 156,953 minutes, for those of you keeping track of those sorts of things!) So, here's to having 70% of the journey down...I'm very much looking forward to having my personal meterologist out of the sun and back at home as soon as possible! Keep cool, M.: we love you!
